You Better Belize it

Caye Caulker, Belize

In early March, I traveled to Belize for a romantic getaway with my main squeeze, Daniel.  We won’t get to see eachother very much while I’m hiking the PCT, so we decided to spend some quality time together before I left for my hike.  We took a tiny plane from the international airport in Belize City to Caye Caulker, a small island with a population of about 1300.

What a magical place!  The primary mode of transportation is by golf cart or by bicycle as the island has no cars or trucks.  We spent our days wandering the beaches, sipping rum drinks at local bars, snoozing in hammocks, and snorkeling at the reef.
